Our bodies are made up of eleven systems, each of which
has been designed to fulfill different functions. This Unit will
cover each of the following body systems:
Skeletal System
Muscular System
Respiratory System
Circulatory System
Digestive System
Excretory System
Nervous System
Throughout this unit, the students will not only learn about
the important parts of each body system, they will also be
able to identify why each system is useful, and how they all
work together to form a functioning body.

5th Grade Science
Technology Integration:
Technology will be used throughout the entirety of this unit. Activinspire
Flipcharts will be used daily to outline the information. Brainpop videos
will be integrated into the unit introduction. An Animoto video will
introduce the digestive and excretory system lessons. A Powerpoint
Jeopardy game will be used at the conclusion of the unit to review the
students for the unit test. Additionally, an abundance of webquests that
include interactive games and informative resources written for children.
